Thomas Green's is the result of a partnership between Nisa-Today’s, Britain’s largest grocery buying and distribution consortium, Nisa-International, acting as exclusive exporters for Nisa-Today’s, and a management team with considerable experience of developing retail opportunities overseas.
The compelling idea behind Thomas Green’s is “to grow a successful international retail brand which is the first choice destination shop for customers seeking leading British branded products and services”.
Thomas Green's Franchisees benefit because they can run and grow their own business whilst using an increasingly well known brand and having access to an experienced support team in the UK, providing access to key suppliers and on going advice.
Thomas Green's will help Franchisees with the initial assessment for the setup of a new shop, including appropriate locations, likely costs, shop layout and product selection through to new product ideas, marketing opportunities and advertising. Though based in the UK, the Thomas Green's team will come out and help the Franchisee with hands on support.
You can, and historically retailers have done just that, but increasingly entrepreneurs are now finding that it is much more efficient and beneficial to work with an experienced UK based team. This enables the Franchisee to focus on their customer base whilst the Thomas Green's team identifies the best opportunities from the UK. Being part of an international network with a recognised brand can bring substantial benefits. With Thomas Green you will source direct from the UK obtaining the best brands through an efficient supply chain with a team on your side to get the Best of British!
We will assist Franchisees to work out likely opening and running costs which are based on location, the size of the shop, the depth of merchandising and product selection. Every location is different but we will be able to give you an early estimate of possible costs. For more specific information please contact us.
Thomas Green charges a Franchise fee for the use of the Brand and its support.
Thomas Green Franchisees are able to buy products from suppliers at standard prices less any discount that has been negotiated by the Thomas Green Head Office. In addition, Thomas Green will seek to ensure that Franchisees receive promotional offers from suppliers.
Yes, indeed it can be important to hold some local fresh products as this will encourage regular shopping by customers.
We would expect the shop to be between 100 sq metres and 250 sq metres and to be located in an area with good access for British expats and the local community. Site selection is critical to the success of the shop and it should be based either on a high street or in a good destination position.
Again this is dependent on the location of the shop. In some areas such as Northern Europe over half the customer base may come from the local community thus expanding the potential customer base.
No but it is important that Franchisees have a good understanding of the product base and that their staff can communicate effectively with customers.
Thomas Green recommends a flexible and cost effective software package which can be supported online. The package enables access to management information, stock control and has automatic reordering capabilities.
Every Thomas Green's Franchisee has access to their own website enabling them to reach customers and deliver to those who cannot visit the shop. In addition advertising revenue can be generated through the website.
Franchisees can of course sell their business. Thomas Green needs to be sure that its Brand is in safe hands and as such our confirmation will be required for the transfer of the business.
